Unfolding November's Folder

WARNING: Long long, picture-ful post. Go get your drinks and popcorn while waiting for the pictures to load.

If I update backdated entries at a rate of one per month, I guess I would forever be backdating my posts. =P

Sigh...

What to do? There's been a lot to accomplish at work nowadays with the slack in the pace during teambuilding last week and I've been bringing work home to do. It's a state-declared public holiday in Singapore today due to the General Elections but as soon as I've cast my vote and have lunch with my family, I drove down to the office to try to complete as much work as possible.

And...

Whenever I'm not doing work at home, I would be reading or watching videos on our General Elections. I was one of those apathetic young Singaporeans when I was eligible to vote 5 years ago. This year, I do not want to be apathetic about politics anymore but to be an informed voter. After casting my vote earlier today, I think I've made a wise choice.

I'm currently updating this post while watching the "Vote 2011 Singapore -- Results" on tv now. I can't really concentrate as I'm quite nervous about the results. I pray and hope that the political anomaly in Singapore would be dissipated and we would have a maturing and truly democratic society in time to come.

Photobucket

Enough said, I'm back to the blogging planet for more backdated stuff again!

~*Dinner at Pu Tien Restaurant*~

For my FIL and BIL combined birthday celebration, we went to Pu Tien for dinner.

It was my first time dining there. For family-friendly Chinese restaurants in Singapore, one would usually opt for any Crystal Jade chains, Dian Xiao Er, Soup Restaurant etc which would never disappoint. Pu Tien was something quite unknown in my vocabulary of Chinese restaurants. Their dishes were unique and rather appetising. With so many unique dishes, my favourite was actually the most simple dish of green vegetables.

My in-laws have gotten used to me snapping pictures of my food. As usual, my FIL would ask me in Mandarin what I did with all these photos. So here's what I did with them.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photos of humans are all in my BIL's slr and if you've been reading long enough, you would know that I never ever get to see those photos.

~*Char & Josh Solemnization*~

It was the solemnization of one of my dear friend, Charlene. It was held by the poolside of Swissotel Merchant Court.

Photobucket

We were only 5 minutes late but we missed the exchanging of vows. By the time we arrived, the Mr and Mrs was already posing for photograph with their signed cert.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

I love her nudish shoes but I hate how tall she looked in them. An additional of 5-6 inch inclusive of the front platform. Hmmph!

Photobucket

Next it was buffet lunch at Swissotel Ellenborough Market Cafe which was having a crab buffet then. The bride and groom sat with us and we had a fun time chatting and gossiping.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Congrats to the sweet couple. I'm so happy that they've tied the knot. Josh had gotten a huge approval stamp from me in my mental book of great other half for my friends. LoLz

Photobucket

Outfit of the day:
♥ Audrey Layered Dress from ClubCouture
♥ Tribal bead necklace from Diva
♥ LV bag

I've blogged about this dress before. You can read more about it here.

~*Tiff's birthday dinner at Don Quijote*~

Photobucket

Having read favourable reviews on Spanish restaurant Don Quijote (pronounced as Don Kee-yo-tay), I decided to arrange tiffy's advanced birthday dinner meet up there. We went to the Dempsey branch for a more cozy ambience and it turned out that there were only 3 other groups of people at the restaurant on a weekday evening. Whatever that we talked and laughed about reverberated through the entire place.

What we ordered to share:

Photobucket

Uglifying ourselves with squid ink from the pasta.

Photobucket

Photobucket

After our mains, we popped a surprise cake for tiffy. From the photo, she looked really eager to eat the cake. Well, actually she was deluding herself that she was only one year young.

Photobucket

We were trying to test the burning length of the candle.

Photobucket

The pretty babes.

Photobucket

The pretty boy joined in.

Photobucket

Tiff made a long long wish, blew the 1 single candle and started demonstrating her love for all of us by distributing the pieces in the order of size indicating preference.

Photobucket

The cake was so good that even though we were full, we finished the whole cake. From the sizes of the slices you could see whom she loved the most. LoLz.. Zanne looked disgruntled with her share and we just had to immortalise this gross piece of evidence in print.

Photobucket

After dinner, we went in search of the largest freshwater fish in Singapore (not kept in a zoo) -- the arapaima of Dempsey which is longer than any of us. I was amazed by its size. Its shape reminded me of a dugong except that it looked kinda scary. After googling "arapaima" though, I realised that the giant fish in Dempsey pond is nothing compared to its counterparts in other parts of the world.

Photobucket

Outfit of the day:
♥ mocha dress top from Tokyo Fashion or Mayuki tw
♥ shorts worn underneath
♥ hand made chanel inspired necklace by fayfey
♥ salvatore ferragamo bag
Photobucket

On the way to meet jq to buy the cake, I got myself a classic looking brown leather watch from a push cart at a steal for only SGD$10. It features the 12 Chinese zodiac animals.

Photobucket

Since I mentioned Tokyo Fashion above, I must say that their pretty models really help to sell their apparels. I wouldn't have bought this mocha dress top if not for the pictures of this pretty model modelling it.

Photobucket

I love this mocha dress top a lot and you would see this dress top again later on. I bought many other clothing items from Tokyo Fashion all because the models look so darn good in them. I don't wish to post the rest of the pretty models modelling the clothes here or you would never ever be able to draw the comparison with the clothes on the models as opposed to the clothes on me.

You know I have serious girl crush problem at times. I actually right clicked and saved so many pictures of these models. Well, it sure beats saving lots of photos of guys with the hubby right beside me.

And also since I mentioned fayfey, I've to say that I really really love her handmade items a lot. I hope to do a shopping haul post from fayfey coz her stuff are all so whimsical and fairytale-like that I was quite glued to her page for quite a few days back then. She's also such an awfully sweet seller. A pity that she wouldn't be creating many more handmade accessories since she would be busy working.

~*10 @ Claymore*~

For my 2nd sis's belated birthday, we had buffet dinner at 10 @ Claymore.

We were all impressed foremost by their service and secondly the food.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

We always make it a point to celebrate one another's birthday as a family and now that we've all been working for years, we would decide on higher end buffet dinners to treat my parents and the birthday person. My parents always love to eat good food once in a while and we would specially choose places that serve fresh oysters for my dad loves eating them. He could eat 20 at a go! My mum is a little of an anything goes as long as she's adventurous to try out different foods.

~*A & B's house*~

A & B invited us over for an informal house warming one Saturday evening. Bruce whipped up a feast in the kitchen while he tasked april to get out of the kitchen to entertain us.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We were served some really delicious bresaola, goat cheeese and crackers for appetizers. Not to mentioned, some really sweet and strong wine. I love the salad with vinaigrette dressing a lot.

Photobucket

Fish and spinach for mains. A little too salty but yummy! By the time the lava cake was ready, we were all so full.

Photobucket

Thanx bruce for whipping up such a feast!

Besides the feast, there was another main attraction-- PetPet the cat. We love PetPet so much! He's such a sweet sweet cat. Bruce hates PetPet though. He's always bullying him.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

There was lots of laughter snapping these shots. Bruce suggested "throwing" Petpet into the picture so he literally picked PetPet up and "threw" him in front of us. However, bruce and kh could not coordinate the timing and so PetPet was out of the picture before kh could say "snap". Finally for the last picture, we see PetPet bounding through the air across us. He looked like he was kicking april's face.

Photobucket

It was so difficult to take a good shot of PetPet since he was always moving.

Photobucket

Photobucket

For the group shot, bruce insisted on holding his lucky elephant instead of PetPet. So, Petpet is some few cm down the south border of this photo.

Photobucket

It was an enjoyable night. Thank you A&B for being such good hosts.

Outfit of the day:
♥ plaid tartan shirt which I bought off a forum (paird with brown rope belt)
♥ shorts worn underneath

Photobucket

I recycled this photo from my fremantle seafood dinner with my family here. However that Saturday, I wore the shirt tucked out with jeans and paired it with a rope belt for work. I hate wearing jeans indoors. At A&B's place, I changed into shorts and hence the kinky tucked out look that some of you don't approve of in that October post was born. This plaid tartan shirt has also become a favourite wardrobe staple for a casual day out. I've been wearing this shirt a lot.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

~*Vivocity & Fong Seng Prata*~

I met up with the girls at vivocity for Japanese lunch, dunch or linner actually since we ate from 3--5pm. Even though I'd already eaten before I met them, I ate again for they had ordered too much. Just as well coz the food was delicious. I love the garlic rice.

Photobucket

Sushi gave reg an advanced bday present before the former went into confinement. It was a moomoo rug which actually isn't real cow's hide. Reg has this penchant for moomoo rugs.

Photobucket

After that, melva joined us. We went shopping and then ate again at Pacific Coffee. Our last stop was at Fong Seng where we tucked into oily prata and sinful Milo Dinosaur.

Photobucket

Outfit of the day:
♥ same mocha dress top from Tokyo Fashion again
♥ shorts worn underneath
♥ green petal bird and rose necklace (wore the scarf in 2 different ways but the 2nd way could not feature the exquisite necklace)

Photobucket

~*Scars are still there*~

Remember my railway exploration post a while back?

I got badly bitten by sandflies. The itch and pain was so unbearable that I had to see a doctor for them. Those on my left ankle felt as painful as a sprain.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Due to the fact that I'm such a vain person, I tried as hard as possible not to scratch them as I always hear people saying that sandflies bites scars are more or less permanent. I'm so sad that some of the scars are still visible now even after a period of 7 months.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

~*Shopping hauls & other random stuff*~

Seeing so many beauty bloggers showing off beautiful nail art and uploading videos on how they use konad, I was curious to try this product. It was offered as a package with 2 nail polish colours, 2 design plates of one's choice, a double side stamper and scraper set.

Photobucket

I'm not very good at this and would definitely need a lot more practice.

I bought lots of pairs of shoes at one go.

The comfort shoes --Americaya

Photobucket

The affordable shoes at no more than $20 each. The black pair is from ViVie and it was only $9.90. It was really cheap and comfortable but...

Photobucket

Look what happened after less than 10 times of wearing them. I guess that's why they were on sale.

Photobucket

Green Petals haul yet again. Whenever I buy Green Petals for my friends, I end up buying for myself too.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Very belated random farewell gift from cyn -- accessories hanger. I lurve it! I love the wedding gown details. She really knows my taste well.

Photobucket

Totally random! Food at work. Aren't you envious of our pantry?

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

I've started updating this post at 9.30pm when the election results programme started and the time is 4.30am now. It was only half an hour ago that the programme ended.

I could hardly concentrate on blogging coz I was half watching TV, half checking the elections website, half FB-ing the whole time with all the rest who were watching the show, which is I think almost the whole of Singapore. It was even more talked about than the World Cup, someting really noteworthy. 2011 is a year that Singaporeans would never forget as never before had so many young Singaporeans shown interest in politics. Social media really plays a huge role here. I shan’t start any political discourse on my blog as whatever I’ve to say have been mentioned in FB in real time.

GE 2011 has been a memorable one which has excited many. Even at this time, there are still a number of Singaporeans awake and yakking about the results on FB. I should turn in soon.

Good night or good morning!

  1. Ahh reading your posts always makes me so hungry Jolene because you always post up so many delicious looking food photos! Can I ask what that first dish that looks like cut up hot dogs is that you guys had at Pu Tien? I've never seen anything like that before :)

    And I love the mini length gown that your friend wore to her solemnization! She looks so chic and modern, and I love the headpiece as well!

    Your OOTDs are all so cute! I really like the mocha colored top on you as well - I can see why you would wear it on more than one occasion hehe. I kinda hate how Asian fashion sites use cute models to sell their clothes. Everything always looks great in the photos and then you receive it and it is completely different than what you expected >.<

    And great hauls! All the shoes and accessories you got are really cute. Sorry to hear that one pair didn't last you very long. I guess you get what you pay for right? And I have a Konad set as well but I gave up a long time ago trying to get the stamps to show up right. It's definitely something that requires a lot of practice to perfect -.-

    I loveee all the food porn! wow all the food looks really delicious, especially the spanish and the buffet!

    I think you looks gorgeous in the Mochi dress!!! the colour is very versatile. It's a really cute dress!

    RYC - yeah I think i heard that you are suppose to line all the way through but honestly, I didn't think it suited me and all the Japanese mags I used to read showed a similar technique I am using now! I think it suits asian eyes much more...

  5. That is a long post, but iread till the last word~~~...lol

    OMG look at all the places you get to eat, all of them look so yummy, and didnt know you can get squid ink on your teeth, you have to tell me wt dish is it..my hubby actually went to Singapore for work on march, and he said he luvs it there. He said its a very clean country, and the food is great, since its a mixture of Chinese and south east asian food...and i luv the weather there, cuz he is from HK, so anywhere that reminds him of home he love, and i rmber him telling me that he would so go back, and he probably have to, cuz the project on Singapore is not over yet...

    the only that confused him was he did know if he should speak Cantonese/mandarin/English when he was there..lol

    ooo and your frd's cat is sooo cute, is it a scottish fold or a mix of it??? cuz i see its ear is slightly folded...but its adorable, and i will def. put up some pictures of my cat...i actuallt lost alot of my cats' picture cuz my old PC broke, so i dont have any picture of them being young any more~~~

    anyhoo, that was a long reply, i luv reading your post and you keep up the good work~~~~

  9. I actually went to get a cup of water when I read your initial disclaimer hehe

    - Wow, I thought this year's Singaporean elections were bigger than ever and I was right. I mean, at first I thought maybe it's just these few Singaporean blogs I read, but then I realized actually TONS of people are talking about it on Twitter etc. So much so even I know about it(and I'm not even Singaporean haha) and was a tiny bit upset that one of the ministers lost . You're right, this really shows off the power of social media

    - Your pics of food never fails to make me miss home food :(

    - Ouch! Nasty sandflies. I hope those scars disappear soon. Tried Bio Oil? I heard it works really well

    - Oh, oh, I recently bought some Konad, too because a blogger friend was promoting this website. Is it really hard to use?

    - The jewellery looks amazing!

    RYC: Haha, I thought Prince William was so good looking during my younger days whilst Prince Harry was always the sort of neglected one. Times have certainly changed. Still, he looked dashing that day in his uniform (and with the hat covering his receding hairline) :D

  10. That was the longest post it the world, but I really enjoyed it.

  11. wow, this was a huge long post!

    buffet pictures make me want sashimi. the last buffet i went to (relatively expensive) was awful. terrible sashimi, rubber lobster. glad you enjoyed the ones you went to :)

    the mocha dress is perfect on you. the colour is soft and the fabric just looks so feminine. i admit those asian models are unbelievably pretty. it makes me totally jealous. how petite and feminine their features are! ugh! i'm going to hurl lol!

    what is squid ink? i laughed out loud at the uglifying picture. is it black noodles..? eek!

    the sandfly bites look brutal. i've never seen or heard of sandflies, but it's unfortunate the scars are still visible after so long. perhaps try bio oil on the scars. i've heard some good things about it, though i've also heard bad. but it may be worth a try. i am quite pale, and i scar very very easily too :( glad those things didn't get you on your face.

    and thanks for all your comments, i love love reading your long comments :)

  12. HI JO!!!

    oh wow... I'm writing this in before I read your post. I skimmed your post and you are NOT kidding about an ENTIRE months worth of blogging in one. O_O Let's see how long this is going to take.

    START TIME 12:15PM

    The dishes are so colorful! The shrimp looks SOO good. What did you respond to your FIL? My family no longer asks why I take pictures. =p My little brother started taking pictures too. I think he posts them on Facebook.

    Outdoor weddings are always the best. Solemnization is a wedding right? {*heehee} I hope so. Only 5 minutes late and you missed the vows? It must have been a really fact ceremony. Her shoes are really cute. I wouldn't mind owning heels that would give me an extra 7 inches. I'd be 6 feet. =p

    I'm ALWAYS jealous of your buffet pictures. NOTHING here in the US ever looks as good. No where I have been before that is. {*droooool} My stomach is in pain. So hungry now. >.<

    Are those bacon rolled asparagus?! I don't know how much of this my tummy can take. I'm drooling more and more after each photo. {*LOL} Jo... you take such amazing food pics. You get to try such a variety of food!

    {*LOL} at your squid inked photos! Did they stain your teeth at all? I hope not. Looking at the photos below.. it looks like it didn't. Must be super embarrassing of you walked out with black teeth.
    You guys looked like you had a lot of fun eating and hanging out. That fish is HUGE! It is so interesting to find such large animals but at the same time frightening, thinking about what they eat.

    Your outfits are super pretty. You're really into nudes this season aren't you? I like the flowy part of your second dress [Tokyo Fashion]. That zodiac watch looks SO cool and what a steal! For only $10?! {*WOW!}

    and.. MORE FOOD! My jaw dropped when I saw the dessert selection. I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. I definitely would have went straight to that section. Everything is SO pretty!

    Your friends can cook! The chocolate souffle looks so pretty! And it's puffy! And didn't flatten out. Impressive.

    The photo with PetPet flying across the screen is funny. FLYING CAT! PetPet must have been annoyed by the end of the photo session. I know I would not like being thrown around. {*haha}

    PLAIDS! I love plaids. I want a plaid shirt. I just can't find the right combination of colors. I like your shirt though. =] It looks very nice paired with your brown shorts.

    I THINK I'VE GOTTEN BIT BY SANDFLIES BEFORE!! I thought they were flee bites but after reading "scars for 7 months" I think they were sandflies. Where are they from?! I didn't scratch and my legs were scared for 3+ months. It did eventually fade but it was so ugly. Hopefully your scars will fade at a faster rate. DON'T SCRATCH!!

    KONAD PLATES!! I hope you have fun using them. It still takes me awhile but it's so much fun and so easy.

    Amazing shoe and jewelry haul. Looks like you did alot of damage. Everything looks so cute and unique. =D
    {*WHOOAAA} at your worn shoes. I guess you get what you pay for and $10... It was $1 each time you wore them! Can you take them to a shoe store to get them fixed?

    {*HAHAHA!} How funny! We both documented the time for your blog. ^.^ Great minds think alike. I've missed reading your posts. I haven't been blogging much because my eyes have been killing me. I'm getting headaches almost every other day from staring at the computer or something. I think it is my new contacts.
    Crazy that you took 7 hours to blog! It's okay though. This is a SUPER SUPER SUPER long post! Can't wait to see your next month's adventure! =D

    END TIME 12:40pm.{*woo hoo!} I finished in 25 minutes.

    <3 Serena.

I cant believe your friend throw him :X That makes me angry haha jk! So cute. You have really cute things too! And what is Green Petals? Is it an accessary store? The earrings look really cute. I love the ones with the bears haha lastly hope you recover from those brutal bug bites soon!

    Rinny,

    LoLz... I seem to be eating all my life eh? Oh the hot dog-looking thing... Don’t be turned off k? It’s actually pig instestine stuffed with something which I don’t know. I’m not sure if intestine is common over at your side but it’s pretty common to eat pig innards in Asia. However, that was the 1st time I eat it stuffed like this. My in laws and hubby all like the dish but I don’t quite like it.

    My dear friend wanted to be something different and hence the short from the front and long at the the back gown. IIRC, the bouquet was handmade by her and her hubby.

    I agree with what you say about Asian fashion sites esp for taiwanese sites coz the models are just so gorgeous. Fortunately for Mayuki Tokyo Fashion, the clothes are almost true to the pictures just that they’re a lot more sheer than depicted on photos. Not as issue to me though. I’ve ordered from other taiwanese style blog and the clothes were really a little different from what was depicted. I guess online buying has its risk but I just can’t help it.

    I’ve seen so many beauty bloggers using konad with such ease that I almost thought I was dumb to fumble about with it. Now I’m too lazy to even play around with it and practice.

    ~~~
    sugar sugar,
    Ooh! Thanx for all the lovely words neatly categorised in point form for easy reading.Your words put a smile on my face. I think you’ve probably gotta remind yourself to eat full first before you view my blog in future. LoL... It also happens to me a lot too when I see other bloggers food photo during supper time when I’m trying not to eat before I sleep.
    ~~~

    Nic Nic,

    Thank you for your lovely words and for your reply. I’ve always got sporadic long posts since I’m always backdated. I’m trying very hard to get out of this cycle. LoL.

    Glamorous Barbie ♥

    It’s good to see a new face here. Welcome!

    ~~~
    Jessy,
    Thank you. I appreciate you reading all my words. It means a lot esp when the post is so long. =)
    Haha... it’s called Suid Ink Pasta or fideua negra which is how that restaurant name it in Spanish. I’m glad to hear that you hubby likes Singapore. Oh, he’s from HK? No wonder! I think Sgreans and Hkers can click well. At least, this is the case for me. English is our official language since we’re a multi-racial country but he could speak Mandarin to the Chinese too. Cantonese is considered a dialect for us and most of our Chinese population’s dialect groups are Hokkien, TeowChew and Cantonese. Next time you can consider coming to sg with you hubby! How about you? Where was yours or your parents original hometown from before you moved to Canada?
    IIRC, Petpet is a Scottish fold mix. I went to google and most of the scottish fold cats there has got weird eyes which doesn’t look like Petpet but I think I heard my friends uttering “scottish fold”.
    ~~~

    haus of chic,

    It’s good to see a new face here. Welcome!

    Joey,

    Haha.. Was your cup empty when you reached the end of the post? BTW, I can’t view your most recent comment coz blogger’s been notti and removed my most recent post together with your unpublished comment.

    I’m so impressed and excited at the same time that my neight up north –you—knows about our sg GE! You totally sound like we’re from the same land. I feel so ashamed not knowing anything about Malaysia.

    Bio oil? Interesting. I shall google it. I think Konad needs lots of practice. I’m a klutz at it. I see some beauty bloggers stamping away in ease and I wonder.

    ~~~
    aki,
    Haha... You would see lots of such posts from me since I’m always way behind time in my updating. Oh for online shopping, you can use the measurements given on the website to measure against some of the clothes you have to gauge roughly. That’s what I always do. ClubCouture had it’s no questions asked return policy so if you ever got down to buying online clothes, you can give ClubCouture a try.
    Thanx for following . BTW, I tried leaving you a comment but your box wouldn’t appear ubder your post. I wonder if that’s an instance of blogger acting up coz those which comment box appears in a new page are fine.
    ~~~

    a,

    I personally feel that buffet style sashimi available in the west doesn’t quite measure up to Asian countries. I agree with the rubbery texture.

    I saw a before and after make up video on one of these Taiwanese models on a variety show. It’s very enlightening. I would never ever point an accusing finger at someone for having undergone plastic surgery due to resurfacing of before after photos when I saw that make up video. It makes me realise how important make up is.

    Haha... Squids give out those black substance and that can be made into dishes. That dish is called Suid Ink Pasta or fideua negra which is how that restaurant name it in Spanish.

    Another reader also mentioned bio oil. Makes me curious what it is. I googled and I don’t think I’ve been it in Singapore.

    I too, love reading your long comments. It feels as if we’re really connecting at a personal level. =)

    Serena,

    Wah!!! I think you’ve beat the record of the longest comment. Thank you! I love reading every single bit of it. Haha.. so cute that you actually timed how long you took. 25minutes is not bad for that length! I definitely spend a lot more than an hour replying to comments.

    Haha.. I told my FIL that I post and write about them. He was thinking along the line of FB and I didn’t elaborate. My sisters have jumped into the bandwagon and started snapping pictures of food with their smartphones and posting them up immediately on FB. They’re more advanced than me. I’ve to still slowly upload them onto my hd and then months later then I would pull them out to blog about.

    I love western outdoor weddings but outdoor weddings in sg is equivalent to perspiring buckets such that all the ladies all don’t look glam anymore. Haha... I think I got it wrong and amended my post. It should be 5-6 inches. Coz my highest heels are 4 or 4.5 and hers are slightly higher so it could not have been 7.

    Aww... Poor thing being so hungry. I’m sorry if my pictures are causing you agaony. =P I personally feel that buffet available in the west doesn’t quite measure up to Asian countries. Yes they’re bacon rolled asparagus. I love these stuff esp when it’s Jap style yakitori. There are many cuisine following this. Yummy... I feel like eating it now. The squid ink did stain our teeth for a while so we had to constantly check with one another of our teeth are clear. Haha.. Tell u something funny and gross, it stained our insides too. We all had black s*** after that. It’s really amazing. Haha ok I think my frenz an d I are really mad to find it so amusing and I’d better stop or you might think badly of me. LoL.

    I love nude colours a lot no matter what season. I’m not really a seasons kinda person and I wear whatever I like. It’s fortunate that nude is one spring summer trend for 2011. I took ages to find the “perfect” plaid shirt that suits me too so I know how you feel.

    It’s actually a lava cake, not souffle and that was the first time they tried that recipe. Some cakes had moist filling like lava while some did not. It was a cool attempt though.

    Petpet is a very sweet cat who was able to take all of our nonsense. I mean all of bruce’s nonsense.

    Actually I thought sandflies only came from the sandy beach coz beach resorts often warn of sandflies. I didn’t expect such bites during my railway expedition.

    I think i should throw the shoes away since it looks quite ugly to be peeling. Luckily it’s well worth the money after dividing.

    Argh... I should have documented the time I took to reply you too! I think it was long.

    Winnie,

    Haha... Nooo! Don’t die. I still wanna read your blog. LoLz...

    I’m always thankful for having such lovely friends around me. Green Petals is the name of an accesories shop in sg. They’ve got really such exquisite stuff that i always find it very hard to pick and choose and whenever I buy presents for my frenz there, I tend to buy the same things for myself too.

    I hope my scars fade soon. They’re fsading gradually but I could still see the brown spots.

  20. Haha actually that doesn't gross me out at all. They serve intestines at the Chinese restaurants here too; I actually really like this one appetizer...I think it's called crispy pig intestine or something. I like the crunchy texture of it :D But I've never seen stuffed intestine before - it does look pretty yummy despite how gross it sounds haha

  21. OH! I know what that is. It’s very yummy! I only ate it once at some Chinese or dim sum restaurant too. It’s not very common here. The common intestine dish here is served together with something called Kway Chup. It’s like flat broad pieces of rice noodles with soup. The intestines, meat, eggs are served as a side dish.

    Sorry it's been awhile I've been to your blog! I've been neglecting my own because I've been stressed stressed stressed over a final project at school. Done now, phew!

  23. It’s good to hear that you’re done with your project. I understand the feeling of not being able to breathe and then the relaxed feeling after that when everything’s over. Haha... Cool! You actually noticed that in the photo. We often laugh at it too.
