Wedding Anniversary Staycation at Tree Top Lofts RWS Sentosa Singapore

Hello all, I'm typing this from a treetop. It's our wedding anniversary and the hubz booked a 2D1N stay at Tree Top Lofts RWS Sentosa Singapore coz of a really sweet deal in July.

There are only 2 of such treetop lofts at Equarius Hotel and the hubz managed to book one. Prior to this, I did not even know Singapore has such treetop hotels. The rate for the loft is $3000++ per night on normal days but there is a special 2D1N package in July at $800 nett inclusive of 2 Adventure Cove Waterpark day passes and 2 adult tickets to Dolphin Discovery!

Read more about the lofts at the RWS page and view more pictures from RWS blog. Take a virtual tour of our room with me in the video below.

I can't quite decide if I should sleep now at 1:15am and wake up at 4:00am for Argentina vs Netherlands or should I just keep myself awake. I'm rooting for Argentina! YEAH!

For those who watched Germany vs Brazil yesterday, what are your thoughts om the 7-1 score? I totally support Germany but as the time went by, I simply found myself thinking aloud too many times for Germany to stop scoring and for poor Brazil to score. My heart really goes out to the Brazilians.

My Facebook status yesterday reads:
So I told the hubz just now:-
For the Germany vs Brazil match, I will choose Germany. And for the Argentina vs Netherlands match, I will choose Argentina. Then for Germany and Argentina, I will support Germany.

The hubz just scoffed and gave me a mixture of (1)so-you-think-you-have-foresight look and (2)so-you-want-this-to-happen-though-you-don't-even-watch soccer look.

Just for laughs, I would share this local National Council on Problem Gambling Ad with my overseas friends. It has since become a meme in Singapore with many spin offs and funny comments like "gambling pays", "the father got money already", "always let your dad have your money", "not sure if fail or successful", "I need to find the script-writer for the gambling control advertisement" etc.

Thank you all for your wonderfully sweet comments. I would get down to replying them soon! I would really need lots of steam to catch up on blogging but in the meantime, follow me on Instagram at iamjolene where I post more frequently.

Have a lovely midweek ahead!

After note:
Seeing many hits from Google search leading to this post, I would include the rest of the Tree Top Lofts experience here:

    1. Hullo Lilli. I'm so late in replying this. The 2D1N passed so quickly and I felt we haven't used the room enough but it was a really great experience to snag this loft at a fraction of the price. Hope you have a good Sunday!

  3. What a gorgeous little palace of a place you have there! So wonderful. A great tour. I adore the fact that in the middle of all that beauty your husband noodles about with an electronic device safely indoors. I would like to think that wouldn't be me....but it would :) And one request; if you can find what was making that wheet wheet wheet wheet noise and squish it, turn it off, shame it into silence that would be great for all involved. Does the country have a natural whistle to it of some sort :) Have fun!!!

    1. Amidst the lush greenery, there we were on our iPad and iPhone. I only took out the laptop at night to blog while waiting for Argentina vs Netherlands match to start. I get what you mean. If it is one thing about the great outdoors I dislike, it would be exatly the screeching of crickets. They can get really piercing. Fortunately when the doors are shut, we could hear nothing of those.

Holy snazzlecakes, that hotel room is frickin insane! I'd love to stay at a treetop loft someday just for the insanely view and how eco-inspired the room will be. (Also one of the reasons why I'd love to live in an apartment/condo one day--up top view of the city!)
So I know next to nothing about the World Cup/soccer in general, but I was hoping Argentina would win the cup. I was honestly surprised when Germany won, l o l.

    1. I always love your exclamation! They're so cute. Snazzlecakes! It seems like the apartments and condominiums here in Singapore are so different from the west. We do not have top view of the city in most apartments/ condo.

  10. Hahaha I said the same thing about Germany vs Brasil. I wasn't going to watch them game but my dad woke me at 6am saying Brasil was down by 4 goals or something and couldn't go back to sleep after that so I watched with him. That was a disaster of a game and the whole time I was yelling at the screen for Germany to just let them have one goal! Urgh, it was so damn painful. But this world cup as a whole has been pretty disappointing and full of cliche bulls***! It's over with now, thankfully. BTW your hubbie is the sweetest for organising this. Seriously what a gorgeous place, up high in the treetops! And I didn't expect the rooms to have such high ceilings (at least that's what I got from your video lol) and be so luxe! What a gorgeous place, I so want to spend a night here now!

    1. Yes, this WC is too unpredictable though I've to admit that I've only caught the semis and finals. I'm glad I did not waste time on the rest coz I might have torn my hair off my scalp. Yup, the rooms had high ceilings. You were right. Thank you for your kind words, sweetie.
