What do you do when life's adversities decide to pelt down sheets of rain and throw bolts of lightning while you are marooned at the bus stop a distance away from your house?
You run to the prata shop nearby, have a piping hot plate of maggie goreng while you look at the raindrops sliding off the windows and dry yourself off.
I love this shot! Captures the rainy day feel excellently.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is edited to an oldish effect. =)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to get in out of the weather--and a great picture.
ReplyDeleteI would never have gone to see that moive if my daughter didn't want to go. I was just keeping her company. I probably would have seen it in 3 or 4 years and been surprised that I liked it. I was surprised I liked it. =)
lol I had to google "prata" and "maggie goreng" to understand what you're talking about XD *kicks myself* heehee that sounds nice. I'd prob run to a bookstore with coffee shop? lol
ReplyDeleteYou took this photo? Nice editing.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend. Cheers. Stay positive :)

Frances,
Those are Indian food. Yummy yum. I'm hungry as I'm typing this but it's 3.45am here! I shall will myself not to eat. Wow I'm surprised you googled. I thought I was the only one who read blogs and google for stuff I dunno (aside: and pretend that I know these stuff).
*chants in a hypnotising manner* "You didn't see the parts in the brackets."
PS: There isn't a cofee and book place among the shops there. I might have gone there too.
I must admit I didn't read every single word. But I saw all the pics, and they look lovely. ^_^
ReplyDeleteThe vacation looks especially fun with the kids around - I see smiles everywhere!
I haven't had the chance to go New York, hope to do so someday. Are cars neccessary over there, or can I survive just bt subways and buses?
Shingo T,
ReplyDeleteYou left this comment on the wrong post. It should be the post above but it's ok. =)
Haha... That's really honest of you. Me likey! It was really fun travelling with all my closed ones and the kids REEAALY enjoyed themselves.
Just my personal take, I think cars are not necessary unless you wanna travel to the factory outlets located more than an hour away from NYC (eg Woodbury I think). The yellow cabs everywhere and the subway is good enough. We did not head far and were mainly in Manhattan and for a while, Brooklyn area.
